Caramelized Banana Cake - Recipe

Caramelized banana cake recipe I promised in this post.


Ingredients

 

 

Preparation Method

 

Caramel

  1. Melt 1 cup of sugar and add ½ cup of hot water and stir until caramel forms;

  2. Pour into the pan and let cool;

 

Batter

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside;

  2. In another bowl, mix the egg yolks, butter, and remaining sugar until smooth;

  3. Add the flour and milk and mix well, finally add the beaten egg whites and mix again;

  4. Once the caramel has cooled, place the sliced ​​bananas on top, then pour the batter over them;

  5. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown;

 

Note¹: You don't need to grease the bottom of the pan, only the sides;

Note²: I advise against letting the cake cool too much, otherwise the caramel will harden in the pan;
