I actually watched it!
I have a hard time keeping myself interested and focused on something long enough to actually finish series/movies. Especially because it’s the kind of thing you can’t intercalate with something else, it needs your full attention. So I’m happy I got to finish it!
Maybe because I watched it with my sister, and we would pause to comment on things, and it kept me engaged.
But about the show.
I used to watch a lot of true crime/disaster video essays, and recently Netflix released a show about the radioactive incident in Goiânia. One of the most fascinating cases I have seen, and one I watched every time someone made a new video about it. So I had to watch it.
It's called "Radioactive Emergency". Kind of short, only 5 episodes, 1h each, so you can watch it in an afternoon if you don’t have anything to do. I recommend it.
As I said, I watched a lot of videos on the topic (years ago, I’m not into true crime as much as I was in the past), so I know some things were changed. Some facts, victims, and deaths are not the same, it also has its made-up things and characters, but in general it tells the incident well. The changes were mostly to better fit the story into the shape of a series rather than a documentary. But still really good!
As a plus, I will recommend my favorite true crime channel, Jaqueline Guerreiro. It's in portuguese, but if you’re trying to learn the language and like true crime, I think you should give it a look!
