I cannot deny it, I love Pokémon + art 🖌
I tried writing several posts and gave up on them all halfway through, so I'm going to talk about something I love. Pokémon!
How it started.
Since I was little, I was big fan of the anime in my childhood, with Dinosaurs King and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. Only God knows how many times I watched the first season. (I'm seriously thinking about rewatching the series and the movies, to be honest.)
However, my passion only increased when I was about 15 years old. I found a YouTuber who was doing a Pokémon Emerald series and I had lunch every day watching his videos. But the games were a distant dream for me. I was always poor and a GBA or DS/3DS were distant dreams.
Well, until I discovered piracy. I played a lot of Emerald and FireRed on MyBoy and SoulSilver, Platinum and BL&Wh 1 & 2 on DraStic. I can't say I'm a super connoisseur of the games, I'm more of a casual player. Creating new teams, trying not to repeat Pokémon, makes everything more interesting; I don't need the "meta" to have fun.
Games
Of all the games, I probably played Platinum and Emerald the most. They were my favorites for a long time, and I'm very attached to them. I also played FireRed and SoulSilver, but not as much. I really like the first generations, most likely because of the anime, since I never watched it after Sinnoh. Only a little bit of the Alola season, much later.
It took me a while to play Black&White and Black&White2. Purely because of the Pokémon. You see, I always chose the fire starter. Right away, Tepig didn't appeal to me, but the others weren't that attractive either, and I didn't like the whole generation. There have always been "object Pokémon," but it was in this generation that many complaints began regarding Pokémon like Trubbish and Vanillite.
After overcoming my prejudices and playing both games, I can say they are my favorites. I still think the generation was a bit weak, but Oshawott won my heart. (I still hate Tepig's evolutionary line. That damn pig)
The 3DS is a bit more complicated to pirate, so I ended up not playing the games from the 6th generation onwards, at least not completely. But I've seen things here and there and have favorites in the newer generations.
Favorite Pokémon
I'm terrible at choosing favorites, so I'll leave here a selection of the ones I like the most.
Yes, there are many. I know.
Pokémon World
I think this is the part I like the most. The Pokémon world has so many possibilities, not just for battles. Pokémon are everyday companions, friends, family. They are part of all parts of society. They work, go to school, help people, live their lives. All with humans.
It's one of the things that intrigues me the most. When I was a child, I wondered what it would be like to live with Pokémon, which ones I would have, which ones would be native. I still think about it sometimes.
My Team
In that spirit, I'm going to form a "realistic" team that I think I would have, considering where I live.
Flygon
Trapinchs are ants, which turn into dragonflies and then a dragon. What was never lacking around here were ants. Besides that, dragonflies are very common here. Most likely my starter.
Pidgeot
Where I live there are many birds, especially Rolinhas, and Pidgey are the most similar flying types.
Muk
I grew up in a place without basic sanitation or sewage. Most houses had septic tanks and dirty water ran into the street. A Pokémon made of dirt would be very easy to get. Besides, it's super smelly, perfect for me, since I can't smell anything.
Maractus
I could easily find one crossing the countryside of Ceará while traveling to my father's home town.
Kingler
I'm from Fortaleza, I grew up on the beaches, there's no shortage of crabs here.
Lampent
When I was younger, I used to go with my mother when she went to her hometown on All Souls' Day. We would go to the middle of nowhere, in the interior of Ceará, to visit a cemetery. A ghostly candle wouldn't be strange. It's just not a Chandelure because Dusk Stones are expensive.
Art
Yes, I've drawn Pokémon before, here are the best ones:
Please don't judge my art as childish, because, in my heart, I'm still just a child. who loves Pokémon.
