New things and the blog's future
So, I have some things to say about the blog. So I will be more informal.
First: It will not end, don’t worry!
I've been having a lot of fun writing here. More importantly, the main goal of the blog is being achieved. My writing in english is so much better. (You guys have no idea all the corrections I have to make)
But what do I want to talk about? Well, for a hobby I was supposed to do in my free time, I have been spending a lot of time here. What is a lot better than doomscrolling, but I think I should take a step back (or just not take a step forward) and keep things simple.
I’m trying to go back to reading books, but I cannot stop myself and read other people's blogs instead. I see so many cool blogs, and I want to make mine just as cool and end up with it too full of things I’m unsatisfied with. (My Now page is going to go bye-bye~)
Plus the microblog thing. You may have noticed the length of my posts, but I wanted to have shorter ones. I saw some people with Mastodon, Micro.blog and even Bsky, however, I don’t want a new social media account. My solutions? I'm going to post it normally but put something like [Note] in the title and put a tag on those. Done, no new app/profile to take care of. Awesome.
After all this talk of keeping my blog simple and reducing my work, I’m going to contradict myself.
I’m thinking of translating this blog to portuguese.
It is just a "maybe" right now. I’m weighing the pros and cons.
On one side, the "translate page" button exists. I don’t need to go through the trouble of translating everything myself. In the other, the portuguese speaking (writing?) and Brazilian communities here are small compared to the english speaking (again, writing?) one, and truth be told, I like to write in portuguese. It is my mother tongue, and I’m even more talented and funny in it. My blog started in it, and my first two posts (which are still up) are in portuguese.
So, I’m conflicted and evaluating my options.
That is it. Just a ... update? A rant? Something like it. I know there are people who come here to see if I have posted something new, so it's kind of just to warn/communicate to them(?)
Well, I don't know. It's what it is.
